Armando Alvarado is currently a student at the University of California, San Diego, majoring in Computer Science while minoring in Business. He has worked at two different internships in the last two years. One of these internships has been mentoring students in k -12, teaching them valuable problem solving skills that can be derived from computer science. In another internship, he has worked with a nonprofit organization developing web mapping applications to help investors and others interested in their mission statement visualize their potential. Armando’s next mission will be this summer, where he will be working with full stack developers in San Francisco, to build on his skill set and be better prepared to enter the workforce in a very competitive industry.
