Joseph Johnson Jr.
Joseph Johnson Jr. is a senior at the University of Houston Downtown (UHD) where he majors in Computer Science. There, he serves as president of the Association for Computing Machinery student chapter where his leadership has helped bring many industry speakers to the university and helped student members gain skills and connections necessary to prepare them for graduation. Joseph's interest in computers began at a young age with a love for video games and enrollment in the Hightower High School computer academy. In his college career, Joseph became proficient in languages such as C++, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.NET and other web technology as a CS tutor in UHD's Collaborative Learning Community Center followed by an internship as a web developer with Chevron Corp and researcher at school. Joseph aspires to pursue a career in software engineering and enjoys working on new projects with friends in his spare time.
