Community Partnerships Manager
Julian Gutierrez is a Community Partnerships Manager at CODE2040, focused on creating and implementing world class programming for the organization's alumni. Julian has a strong background in event planning, alumni relations, and development. Before moving to the Bay Area, he worked at New York University, where he managed the Office of Alumni Relations at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. In this role, he enhanced the alumni experience with a wide array of events, networking opportunities and innovative programs.
Julian has also freelanced as an event planner and graphic designer for a small education nonprofit in New York City. In the past year, Julian has held numerous contract positions as an event and meeting coordinator for companies and organizations throughout the Bay Area. He serves as an ongoing contractor for Leftwich Events Specialists and as a founding member of the Social Events Committee in the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, where he is also an active singer. Julian holds a B.A. in Communications from New York University and believes strongly in CODE2040's quest for equal access and opportunity in the tech industry.
