TAP Program Assistant
Navkiran “Navi” Kaur is a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara where she majored in Black Studies. As an undergraduate, Navkiran was actively involved in her campus community, statewide and beyond: organizing local, statewide, and national student conferences; developing and institutionalizing diversity trainings for her student government representatives; and even demanding student loan reform at the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. When she wasn’t using a megaphone or organizing the details for an event, Navkiran served the local low-income youth of the Santa Barbara area as a Leadership Specialist for the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast.
When she’s not fighting for social justice, Navkiran likes to cook with others (and eat), pretend that she can DJ, and spend time outdoors.
