Community Events Manager
Tanea Lunsford is a fourth generation Black San Franciscan on both sides. Tanea became a community organizer and advocate for children of incarcerated parents as a teenager in San Francisco when you could still ride the bus for 35 cents. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and a special concentration in Human Rights from Columbia University and a Master’s Degree in Anthropology & Social Change from California Institute of Integral Studies. She completed her Master’s thesis on Restorative Justice in the context of the Juvenile Legal System. She is an educator, cultural worker, writer, and community organizer with more than ten years of experience in her home, San Francisco.
