Code2040's Secure Summer series: Digital Security 101

This virtual workshop will act as a primer for understanding how to secure one's internet presence as well as secure personal devices. The workshop will include an overview of the basics of digital security from password managers, VPNs, and device encryption to social media settings and how you can mitigate what the backend of a website can see about you. We'll even cover safe border crossings! There will be space at the end for taking action steps towards your personal digital security and plenty of time for Q+A. This is part one of a two part series on digital security. We recommend attending this one before attending part 2.

This workshop will be run by Sam Smith.
